    Removing archers from the Match play

    It can happen in competition you get some different scenarios in qualification where you do not want an archer to continue to the Match Play, but you do want to still show them in the final reports. We will discuss the different scenarios here.

    • Did not Start
      • If the Archer did not start the qualification rounds you can:
        • 1. Delete them from the participants list (which is usual at a national level where it does not matter if they are shown) This is usual in domestic events;
        • 2. Go to Qualification => Input Score => Standard Table and click Set and then click 'Did Not Start' this will then give them a status of DNS in any printout and they will not proceed to the check shoot off screen as they are not a valid athlete. This is usual for events where the athlete has collected an accrediation, but does not start shooting the qualification.
      • If the Archer stops during the qualification round (Did not finish) and is NOT continuing to the eliminations:
        • 1. Go to Qualification => Input Score => Standard Table and click Set and then click 'Did Not Finish'. You also need to open the athlete inthe participents list, select 'No' to the Ind.Event option, and then ensure you go to the qualification input (simple) and then re-run the final and distance rank calculation. This will remove the archer from qualifying for the head to head but their score will show in printouts for as valid until the point they went home.
      • If the Archer stops in the Qualification but is continuing to elimination rounds, then repeat as above, but do not select 'No' to Ind.Events so they show as DNF, but with their score and position in the event printout and ranking.
    It is best practice to run the 'Recalculate Final Rank' option from Qualification => Input Score => Standard Table after doing any of these actions to make sure they are correctly indicated, or removed, in any result

    It is important to note that the archers in either of these states are still counted against the total number of qualifying archers for the Head to Heads. if you need to take them out of the total count then go to Participants => List Simple double click on the archer and set the 'Individual Events' to 'No' and they will be removed. This means that the automatic target assignment will now not consider these archers at all and you can re-plan a head to head field if needed, but again you will need to ensure you recalculate the final and distance ranks to make sure they have been removed correctly.
